STATE-OF-THE-ART
TREATMENT ROOMS

At Clinique Poirier, your Salaberry-de-Valleyfield dentists are on the cutting edge of the latest developments in dentistry. It's our way of offering you quality care that combines comfort and efficiency. Our treatment rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art technology to guarantee the best results and, by extension, patient satisfaction. In addition, our dentists and dental hygienists regularly attend training courses to hone their skills and ensure they are able to use this technology to its fullest potential.

technologie CERECCEREC technology allows us to fabricate high-quality ceramic restorations and crowns in the clinic in just 30 to 40 minutes. The replacement crown is cut by a computerized robot based on a 3D model of the replacement tooth obtained on the same day. This precise model is created by sophisticated software based on a scan of the mouth. Thanks to CEREC, you can regain optimal dental function without delay, on the same day as your evaluation!

caméra diagnostique

With a diagnostic camera, or intraoral camera, dentists can take images of the inside of the mouth and view them immediately on a computer screen. This device, which also magnifies images, essentially has two functions: a diagnostic function and an educational function. The camera allows the dentist to make clear and accurate diagnoses, but also to communicate with the patient, who can see the condition of their mouth and teeth for themselves and therefore better understand the conditions affecting them.

LASER À TISSUS MOUS

Our clinic is equipped with a soft tissue laser, which can be used to perform many types of dental procedures in a less invasive manner. Lasers in dentistry allow incisions to be made in soft tissue without coming into contact with it. In addition, they can instantly cauterize (seal) blood vessels, which greatly reduces bleeding during procedures. They are therefore used for gum surgery and frenectomies. Since lasers also have a very powerful antibacterial action, they can also be used to treat gum disease or prepare tissue for surgery.

RADIOGRAPHIES NUMÉRIQUES Digital X-rays, available in all our treatment rooms, provide high-resolution images that facilitate diagnosis. This makes it easier for our dental professionals to offer you the right treatment in a timely manner. In addition to providing clearer images that are available immediately (no film development time), digital X-rays produce 80% to 90% less radiation than traditional X-rays. So there's no need to worry about this modern and effective device!

This state-of-the-art device can take panograms and cephalograms. The former consist of images showing all the structures of the mouth and teeth (bone, teeth, jaws, nerves, joints, etc.), while the latter produce images of the skull and face in order to measure and analyze their dimensions. These images are mainly used to monitor orthodontic treatment and diagnose certain conditions. As it is adjustable, the Orthophos XG5 can be used on children and teenagers as well as adults.

STÉRILISATION At Clinique Poirier, we have the necessary equipment to sterilize the instruments used by our dentists and dental hygienists to provide you with the best possible care. This ensures that all our instruments are always sterilized to guarantee the safety of each of our procedures and manipulations.

PROJECTIONS DE FILM DURANT LES TRAITEMENTSTo make your dental care more enjoyable, we provide our patients with screens connected to Netflix and YouTube. This means you can watch films, series, or videos while you receive treatment. This will help pass the time more quickly during long treatments!

LUNETTES DE TRAVAIL AVEC LOUPES ET LUMIÈRES INTÉGRÉESThis instrument is worn by our dentists and dental hygienists during procedures to improve their vision. This ensures that all treatments are performed with the utmost precision, even those that require greater attention to detail or involve the less exposed parts of the mouth.

sédation intraveineuseIntravenous sedation is a technique that can be very useful for people who are particularly anxious about dental treatment, or for those who are afraid of needles. Sedatives, i.e., painkillers and anti-anxiety medication, are administered intravenously. This relaxes the patient, putting them in a drowsy state so that they are not aware of the treatment they are receiving. However, local anesthesia is still necessary to prevent the patient from feeling any pain.

At Clinique Poirier, Dr. Francis Tassé is trained to administer intravenous sedation during surgical procedures in a completely safe manner. The patient's vital signs are monitored during treatment to ensure their comfort and safety.

Scan 3D implants dentiste Valleyfield

Our clinic is equipped with a 3D scan, a state-of-the-art medical imaging device. This allows us to obtain very accurate, three-dimensional images of the teeth and all the anatomical structures of the mouth and jaws. Using special software, these images can be manipulated and enlarged so that the dentist can examine them closely. This technology allows us to refine our diagnoses and provides unparalleled precision when planning certain procedures.

Our dentists use 3D scanning in implantology. This allows us to assess the jawbone and plan implant surgery with great precision, down to the millimeter. This results in less invasive procedures and increased safety for our patients. 3D scanning is also useful in endodontics, i.e. for planning root canal treatment by visualizing the root canals of the tooth to be treated.

Scanner Trios 3ShapeThis small intraoral scanner can take digital impressions of the teeth and gums in just a few seconds. These 3D images are accessible in real time and can be viewed by the patient. They are used in the planning of various dental treatments. These digital impressions can replace traditional impressions when designing various types of dental restorations (crowns, bridges, prostheses).

The 3Shape Implant Studio program, which is directly linked to the 3D images taken with the scanner, also gives your dentists the tools they need to plan implant treatments with greater precision and predictability. Among other things, this makes it possible to design surgical guides, which are used when placing dental implants.
