This federal government initiative aims to provide better access to oral health care for Canadians who need it most. Starting in June 2025, anyone who meets the eligibility criteria can register and receive coverage for essential dental care.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At Clinique Poirier Centre Dentaire in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, we are proud to offer this option to our patients, expanding access to quality treatment and healthy smiles.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vce-text-block black\"><div class=\"vce-text-block-wrapper vce\" id=\"el-c194b895\" data-vce-do-apply=\"all el-c194b895\"><h2 class=\"font30\"><b>Who is eligible for the plan?<\/b><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To be eligible for the RCSD, you must meet all of the following criteria:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You do not have access to private dental insurance through your employer, a union, or a personal plan.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your adjusted net family income is less than $90,000.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You are a Canadian resident for tax purposes.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Have filed a tax return for the previous year.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some people who already receive dental benefits through a provincial, territorial, or federal social program may also be eligible if they meet all of the above criteria.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eligibility has been expanded gradually. Initially available to seniors aged 65 and over, children under 18, and people with disabilities, the CDSP is now open to all eligible Canadians, regardless of age, as of June 2025.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vce-text-block black\"><div class=\"vce-text-block-wrapper vce\" id=\"el-1b09bb9c\" data-vce-do-apply=\"all el-1b09bb9c\"><h2 class=\"font30\"><b>What dental care is covered?<\/b><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The plan covers a wide range of preventive and curative care to improve the oral health of the population.
